They had actual storylines and with comedic set-ups and pay-offs instead of a couple of stoners mumbling over other people's music videos. The spin-offs like Daria and King of the Hill were much better in my opinion.
When I did see Mike Judge's seminal animated show I in all honesty didn't much care for what I saw. I didn't have MTV in the 90s, so I didn't grow up watching Beavis & Butt-Head.
